About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Engagement Officer to join our team at Victim Support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and coordinating a range of engagement and promotion activities aligned to the priorities of our local service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate a range of engagement and promotion activities to increase community awareness and support for our services.
  • Develop referral routeways with local organisations to ensure seamless support for victims of crime.
  • Develop and deliver a variety of training packages to relevant community partners to promote the work of Victim Support services and increase referrals.
  • Develop and expand awareness to partner agencies and community groups of the support available locally to anyone affected by crime.
  • Uphold and promote the values of Victim Support and treat colleagues and service users in a fair and non-discriminatory way.
Requirements
  • Experience of presenting to, training, and developing people.
  • Experience of partnership working, engaging with organisations and building relationships.
  • The ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build and sustain relationships.
  • Ability to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the requirements of the role.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all data protection requirements.
