About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex automotive engineering programmes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive engineering programmes from inception to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor and track progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, customers, and senior management, to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering teams, ensuring that all technical requirements are met, and best practices are followed.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, ensuring optimal utilisation of personnel, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
  • Prepare regular status reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and engineering processes.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Programme Management Experience: Proven track record of managing large-scale automotive engineering programmes, with a strong understanding of the automotive industry and engineering principles.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
  • Strong technical background in automotive engineering, with experience in product development, systems engineering, and manufacturing processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
