Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team at STARK Building Materials UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our building materials categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business plans to drive strategic and tactical growth of allocated categories
  • Deliver product ranges and terms that meet customer needs while achieving company financial targets
  • Negotiate and manage supplier trading agreements to support group goals and initiatives
  • Continuously monitor and analyze category performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Generate reports and recommendations on ranging, pricing, sales, and promotions
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in category management with a focus on building materials
  • Proven success in driving performance improvements and delivering commercial results
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
