Job Title: Procurement Category Manager

Barclay Meade is seeking a seasoned Procurement Category Manager to lead our procurement team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category management strategies to support production growth, improve quality, and reduce costs.
  • Lead a team of procurement specialists in negotiations, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new sourcing opportunities and rationalize the current supply base.
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights for upcoming development programs.
  • Prepare reports and present to senior management on category performance.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Extensive procurement or commodity management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on long-term strategic goals.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AS400 and Infor LN systems.
