Job Title: Procurement Category Manager

Barclay Meade is seeking a seasoned Procurement Category Manager to lead our procurement team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category management strategies that support our business growth and improve quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category management plans to achieve cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize procurement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights to inform procurement decisions.
  • Prepare reports and present to senior management on category performance.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive procurement experience in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on category management.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on long-term strategic goals.

  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
