Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team at STARK Building Materials UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our building materials categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business plans to drive strategic and tactical growth of allocated categories
  • Deliver product ranges and terms that meet customer needs while achieving company financial targets
  • Proven experience in category management with a track record of delivering ranges that meet customer project needs
  • Successful fact-based negotiation and delivery in an end-to-end category management or procurement role
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to communicate plans to stakeholders
  • Good stakeholder management with ability to coordinate and influence decision making at multiple levels
  • Evidence emotional intelligence, behavioural impact, and self-awareness

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Category Management experience with Building Materials products
  • Commercial awareness and proven success driving performance improvements
  • Highly IT literate in Microsoft and database systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to induct, support, and coach newer and/or junior members of the team
