About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse/Midwife to fill the position of Neonatal Discharge Coordinator. This exciting new role will play a key part in supporting a seamless patient pathway from admission to discharge, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to achieve timely and appropriate discharges.

The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience within a Neonatal clinical setting, including acute skills within NICU. They will be able to manage resources and staff within a multidisciplinary team, and have a proven track record of leading change and development within a similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of new initiatives that promote timely discharge
  • Work closely with the community outreach team to ensure seamless discharge to home for babies meeting community criteria
  • Collaborate with Discharge Coordinators, repatriation link nurses and Outreach teams to promote early discharge and timely repatriation

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RGN/RNC/RM)
  • Teaching and assessing in clinical practice qualifications, e.g., ENB 998/7/FLAP
  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent
  • Approved Neonatal/Paediatric Life Support Course
  • Child Protection Training Level 3

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
