We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Care Lead to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of Family Integrated Care across our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

About the Role

The Clinical Care Lead will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to promote a culture of Family Integrated Care, providing resources and support for staff, parents, and families. This includes collaborating with AHP teams, nurse education teams, clinical psychology leads, chaplaincy teams, and infant feeding liaison on Ficare education and training.

As a key member of our team, the Clinical Care Lead will demonstrate leadership in managing consistency of practice, high standards of care, innovative practice, and patient safety. They will also show a commitment to staff and parent development, enabling individuals to reach their full potential.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with neonatal nursing, medical, clinical psychology, and AHP teams to provide high-quality care for babies and families.
  • Collaborate with discharge coordinators, repatriation link nurses, and outreach teams to promote early discharge and timely repatriation.
  • Build relationships with network, local neonatal psychology, and community-based services to facilitate referrals for individuals and families.
  • Develop clear guidelines, signposting documents, and referral pathways with the MDT lead.
  • Support the development of parent engagement in the service.
  • Participate in relevant groups and meetings to promote a Family Integrated Care approach.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RGN/RNC/RM) qualification.
  • Approved neonatal qualification, such as ENB 998/7/FLAP.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Approved Neonatal/Paediatric Life Support Course.
  • Child Protection Training Level 3.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
