Maintenance Administration Officer

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administration Officer (Maintenance) to join our team at Wakefield Council. As a key member of our fleet maintenance workshop, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our team and ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide a technical reception service to our fleet maintenance workshops, ensuring that all vehicle and plant users, taxi drivers, and external customers receive prompt and professional assistance.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records, both electronic and paper, to ensure compliance with statutory duties and financial record-keeping requirements.
- Use your initiative to resolve problems and support the management team in coordinating issues across the service.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of vehicles and plant, or be able to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry developments.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 4 GCSE passes (grade A to C) or equivalent, including English Language and a numeracy-based subject, normally mathematics.
- Experience in a busy reception or office environment, with a relevant qualification.
