Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with medication management, including administration and monitoring.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including the use of hoists and other equipment.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, including engaging in activities and conversations.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and support, including progress notes and medication administration records.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and doctors, to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably in a home care setting.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
