About This RoleWe are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide essential care to a client residing in their own home. This role involves assisting with various aspects of daily living, enabling the client to maintain their independence and achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities- Provide personalized assistance with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and guidelines.
- Accompany the client to appointments and errands, providing safe and reliable transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment, promoting a comfortable and hygienic space.
- Engage in meaningful interactions with the client, fostering social connection and emotional well-being.
- Implement specialized care techniques as required, including ventilation use, oral suction, nebulizer administration, and gastrostomy care.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the care team to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care.
- Previous experience in providing care to individuals with physical disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- A valid driver's license and a comfortable driving record are essential for this role.
