We are seeking a highly skilled Psychological Care Lead to join our team at the Dental Institute, contributing to the provision of the Dental Psychology Service.

About the Role:

  • To work as an independent and autonomous professional, taking full responsibility for own work, including treatment and discharge decisions.">">
  • To assess and monitor risk and draw up appropriate risk management plans.">">
  • To communicate skilfully and sensitively complex and sensitive information with patients, carers, and colleagues.">">

Main Duties:

  • ">">
  • To hold a diverse caseload and provide psychological interventions in areas such as trauma, anxiety, appearance-related distress, and dental treatment-related phobias.">">
  • To work closely with surgeons, dentists, and nurses to provide excellent multidisciplinary care to patients in KCH Dental Hospital.">">
  • To develop existing psychology pathways with other members of the Dental Psychology Service, supervise qualified psychologists and trainees, and contribute to research and audit projects.">">

Person Specification:

  • ">">
  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional).">">
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.">">
  • Evidence of clinical supervision training post-doctoral qualification.">">

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
