About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Wine Department will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the wine department, aligning with Dreweatts' broader business goals.
  • Driving business growth through strategic initiatives, cultivating relationships within the wine industry, and enhancing our auction offerings.
  • Cultivating the Bid for Wine platform, ensuring it serves as an effective resource for sourcing consignments and engaging buyers.
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the wine market, trends, and valuation techniques, ensuring the department remains at the forefront of industry developments.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with existing clients and prospects, providing exceptional service to enhance client loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Overseeing the curation and organisation of monthly wine auctions, ensuring high-quality lots and optimal pricing and presentation to maximise sales.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, pension scheme, and paid holiday time.
