Endoscopy Lead Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join our team at One Ashford Hospital. As a key member of our Endoscopy & Theatres Team, you will be responsible for the management and activity of the Endoscopy service, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care that prioritizes patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Endoscopy service, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, practice standards, regulation, and governance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, quality, and safety within the Endoscopy service.
  • Collaborate with the Theatre Manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Endoscopy services with other hospital departments.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Endoscopy staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance and audit processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Teaching, assessing, and mentorship qualification
  • Diploma/degree in management
  • In-depth knowledge of HTM: 01-06
  • Proven relevant Endoscopy experience at senior nurse level
  • Proven evidence and sound knowledge base of the Global Ratings Scale (GRS) and the Joint Accreditation Group (JAG)
  • Experience of Clinical governance and audit processes
  • Experience of delivering a high standard of patient care within agreed financial limits.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in the Independent Sector
  • Operators/Managers City & Guilds course in Decontamination HTM 01:06
