About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join our team at One Ashford Hospital. As a key member of our Endoscopy & Theatres Team, you will be responsible for the management and activity of the Endoscopy service, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care that puts the patient first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the Endoscopy service, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Lead and manage a team of endoscopy staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in endoscopy.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to patient safety and quality care.
