About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting clinicians throughout a wide range of clinical treatments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting clinicians with clinical treatments, including preparing the dental surgery and ensuring clean instruments and equipment are available.
  • Supporting patients as they undergo dental treatment, responding to individual patient needs and understanding how they may be affected by dental experiences.
  • Booking patient appointments and advising patients on their needs using dental knowledge.
  • Maintaining and updating records within an efficient filing system, ensuring data protection and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Dental Council.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare.
  • Experience working with the elderly, children, and patients with special needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills and computer skills, including experience with dental software.
  • UK driving license and use of a car.
