Job Title: Software Engineering Vice President

At Goldman Sachs, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Vice President to join our team. As a key member of our Client Asset Protection and Collateral Management functions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex optimization calculations and controls across business functions and asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis to coding, testing, UAT, implementation, and maintenance.
  2. Develop high-level and detailed technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
  3. Understand and respond to business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation.
  4. Data modelling and curation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  2. 2-5 years of software development experience.
  3. Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
  4. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
  5. Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge or interest in investment banking or financial instruments.
  2. Experience with big data concepts (we use Hadoop for Data Lake).
