**Role Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Activity Organiser to join our team in Dumfriesshire. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of people living with dementia.

The successful candidate will work within our community groups and dementia-specific day service, providing front-line support to individuals and their families. With a focus on maintaining skills and independence, you will lead therapeutic activities that promote brain health and overall well-being.

This part-time position involves working 17.5 hours per week, with a preference for candidates with access to a car (mileage and expenses paid). As a Community Activity Organiser, you will be responsible for supporting individuals to engage in their interests, hobbies, and community activities, while also developing new ideas for exciting and engaging activities.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Relevant qualifications or experience working with people with dementia are advantageous, but not essential.

A willingness to learn and participate in training, including SVQs, and registration with the SSSC is mandatory. The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal check through Disclosure Scotland.

**Estimated Salary:** £22,500 - £25,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), depending on experience.
