Job Title: Physiotherapist for Adults with Learning Disabilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team in providing physiotherapy services to adults with learning disabilities in our community-based settings.

About the Role:

This is a full-time or part-time position for a HCPC registered Physiotherapist with an interest in community LD services. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of a diverse multi-disciplinary team and will join the growing Physiotherapy service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment interventions for adults with learning disabilities in our community-based settings.
  • Manage a caseload, using evidence-based/client principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Band 5 Physiotherapy Development Programme and competency framework.
  • Participate in the induction, training, and education of students and other staff in this setting.
  • Participate in the planning, evaluation, and audit of practice, clinical pathways, and protocols within your area.
Person Specification:
  • Physiotherapy Degree
  • HCPC registration
  • Desirable: Membership of CSP, experience of working with people with mental health problems/learning disability.
