Support Volunteer for End-of-Life Care

In this rewarding role, you will be part of the Marie Curie Wellbeing and Support Hub team, delivering activities that bring joy and companionship to patients and their families. Your friendly approach, empathy, and inclusivity will make a significant difference in their lives.
About the Role:- Provide a warm welcome and chat to patients and carers, helping them feel at ease in our supportive environment.
- Prepare and serve lunch, ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food.
- Work closely with the Activity Facilitator to plan and lead engaging activity groups, promoting social interaction and relaxation.
- Encourage patients to participate in activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Maintain a clean and tidy day room, creating a comfortable space for everyone.
- Support staff and volunteers as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to help.
- A caring and empathetic attitude, with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team, respecting the needs and boundaries of others.
- Reliability, commitment, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
- An understanding of the complexities of end-of-life care and a respect for confidentiality.
