Domestic Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Domestic Services team as a Domestic Assistant. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire premises.
The role involves working effectively and efficiently to deliver a safe and welcoming environment, meeting the required NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Work effectively and efficiently to deliver a safe and welcoming environment, meeting the required NHS Lanarkshire and HAI standards.
- Support new staff in the working environment, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Participate in on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
- Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
- Complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook and maintain accurate records.
- Develop effective written and verbal communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology, including email and online systems.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic IT skills, including email and online systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
