We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our team at University Hospital Monklands. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
  • Work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.
  • Undertake on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Participate in risk assessing individual tasks and undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
  • Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards and complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
  • Develop effective written and verbal communication skills and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Carry out assigned tasks efficiently in a busy environment and demonstrate a working knowledge of basic information technology.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.

Contract Type:

Permanent

Location and Working Pattern:

This role will be based in the Domestic Services department within University Hospital Monklands. The working pattern for this role is 07.30am-15.00pm, Saturday and Sunday.
