Domestic Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our team at University Hospital Monklands. As a key member of our Domestic Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
- Working alongside and supporting new staff in the working environment.
- Undertaking on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
- Participating in risk assessments and contributing to a safe working environment.
- Completing mandatory training and adhering to NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
- Is able to work effectively in a busy environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is able to carry out assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Has a working knowledge of basic information technology.
This is a part-time position, working 7.9 hours per week. The salary will be pro-rata.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in the Domestic Services department within University Hospital Monklands. The working pattern will be Saturday and Sunday.
