Job Title: Intervention Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Intervention Worker to join our team at Spring Brook Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our students. As an Intervention Worker, you will be responsible for providing face-to-face mentoring and tutoring support to students in the Key Stage 2 & 3 age range who are struggling to access traditional educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students with complex SEMH needs
  • Developing and implementing personalized learning plans to support student progress
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students, promoting positive relationships and behaviors
  • Contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with young people with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting
  • A nurturing and empathetic approach to behavior management
  • The physical and emotional resilience to support students with complex needs
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative when needed
  • Willingness to participate in own professional development
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a car
