About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Project Monitoring Officer to join our team at The National Trust. As a key member of our internal consultancy, you will work closely with regional archaeologists to recruit, train, and support teams of volunteers carrying out condition monitoring of archaeological sites across the Midlands and East of England region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with ARCGIS online and field-maps to roll out a digital model across the region
* Manage, update, and use the Historic Buildings Sites and Monuments Record (HBSMR) to produce maps and documentation suitable for volunteer use
* Input, analyse, and prioritise data resulting from the monitoring work
* Support with volunteer recruitment, liaising with volunteers and property teams
Requirements:
* Good knowledge and experience using GIS and databases such as HBSMR and HER
* Experience working with volunteers
* Knowledge and understanding of landscape archaeology
* A skilled communicator, who can build strong relationships within diverse teams, both internally and externally
* A flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions
