Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support children with special educational needs.
About the Role- Support children with special educational needs, including those with communication and language difficulties and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support children with SEN.
- Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of student progress.
- Provide feedback and guidance to children to help them improve.
- Supervise children during lessons and breaks.
- Assist with behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to discussions about student progress.
- A Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience in early years, SEND, or teaching assistant roles.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience supporting children with SEN and EAL.
- Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.
The ideal candidate will have opportunities for professional development and training. This role requires a flexible approach and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
Salary DetailsThe salary for this role is £83.50 - £90 per day, based on location and experience.
