About the Role

Academics Ltd is looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant Lead to support our team in delivering high-quality education to children across EYFS - Year 6 classes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being, recognizing and catering to the diverse needs of children at various stages of development.
  • To plan, organize, and implement engaging play and learning activities to promote children's development progress.
  • To build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment.
  • To support children with special educational needs, including those with communication and language difficulties and English as an Additional Language.
  • To assist in lesson planning, teaching, and assessing development progress to inform future education strategies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) and experience in early years, SEND, or teaching assistant roles.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience supporting children with SEN and EAL.
  • Skills: Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.
  • Personal Attributes: Team player with a passion for working with children, treating them with dignity and respect, and fostering their development.
