Tesco, a leading UK-based retailer, is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. As the face of Tesco on the road, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive their shopping trips safely and efficiently.
Salary
The salary for this position starts from £12.92 per hour, increasing to £14.05 for stores within the M25 area. Additional payments may also be applicable depending on location.
Job Description
As a Tesco Delivery Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care;
- Delivering shopping trips to customers during designated time slots;
- Providing excellent customer service, responding to queries, and resolving any issues;
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and communicating with colleagues and management as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (Full or Automatic only) with at least 12 months' experience and no more than 3 penalty points;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues;
- A flexible approach to work, including evening and weekend shifts;
- Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to handle cash transactions and operate a van's onboard computer system.
