Gynaecology Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Nurse to join our team as a Lead Nurse Specialist for Gynaecology Oncology at Colchester Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing support to patients with gynaecological cancer.
About the RoleThis is a part-time, 30-hour per week, fixed-term/secondment contract post until 30th November 2025. You will work closely with our lead consultant to develop and implement effective care pathways for patients with gynaecological cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective care pathways for patients with gynaecological cancer
- Provide comprehensive nursing support to patients with gynaecological cancer
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
- Support the development of the service and review clinics to improve patient care

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Nurse with:
- Proven post-registration experience in oncology/gynaecology nursing at senior level (Band 6)
- Clinical experience in oncology/gynaecology nursing
- Expert knowledge of cancer pathways
- Desirable qualifications include research experience, teaching experience, and leadership/management qualifications
