Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Nurse to join our team as a Lead Nurse Specialist for Gynaecology Oncology at Colchester Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing support to patients with gynaecological cancer.

About the Role

This is a part-time, 30-hour per week, fixed-term/secondment contract post until 30th November 2025. You will work closely with our lead consultant to develop and implement effective care pathways for patients with gynaecological cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective care pathways for patients with gynaecological cancer
  • Provide comprehensive nursing support to patients with gynaecological cancer
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Support the development of the service and review clinics to improve patient care

Person Specification

We are looking for a Nurse with:

  • Proven post-registration experience in oncology/gynaecology nursing at senior level (Band 6)
  • Expert knowledge of cancer pathways
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
