About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Gynaecology Oncology team at Colchester hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining an effective, streamlined, and efficient service for patients in the South Essex and East Suffolk area in collaboration with other members of the network tumour site group.
  • Provide highly developed specialist care, knowledge, advice, information, and education to patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and relevant others.
  • Implement quality initiatives as part of the audit process to evaluate standards of care and service delivery within the nursing team and when appropriate the multidisciplinary team.

Person Specification
  • Proven post-registration experience at Band 5 or above in oncology/palliative care/surgical environment.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Experience of multi-professional working.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Current or recent experience of caring for patients with gynaecological disorders.
  • Experience of teaching.
