We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 5 nurse to join our team at the Collingwood centre at Colchester Hospital.

As a Band 5 nurse in Haematology and Oncology, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to patients with Haematology and Oncology conditions.

The Collingwood centre is a day unit offering SACT treatments for Haematology Oncology patients. Non-malignant haematology conditions are also managed through the day unit.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in the management and care of Haematology and Oncology patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and families.
  • To complete a recognised accredited Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy course (SACT).
  • To work across the clinical areas to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice.
Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse
  • Relevant teaching qualification
Requirements
  • Previous experience of co-ordinating a busy healthcare environment
  • Competent in Venepuncture and blood sampling
  • Competent in cannulation
  • Use of PGDS
