Youth Behaviour Mentor Required in Preston, UK

Compensation Package

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum, competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

About the Position

This role is ideal for a dedicated Youth Behaviour Mentor who can provide targeted support to children and young people exhibiting challenging behaviours. Working in partnership with educational staff and families, the successful candidate will develop and implement individual behaviour support plans to promote positive behaviour strategies and academic progress.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in de-escalating challenging situations using approved techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
  • Monitor and record incidents, maintaining accurate case notes to inform future support.
  • Participate in training and professional development sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest behavioural support strategies and safeguarding practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with behaviour management strategies and experience implementing positive behaviour interventions are also essential.
