Academic / Education Support Worker

Description:

Company Overview: Teaching Personnel is a renowned education recruitment agency. We are currently seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Mentor to support children with challenging behaviours in Alternative Provisions across Preston and Blackpool.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is £20,000 - £25,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Behavioural Support: You will work closely with pupils, providing one-to-one support and promoting positive learning habits.
  2. Classroom Support: You may also provide general classroom support, helping pupils to engage with their education.
  3. Build Rapport: Building strong relationships with pupils is crucial for this role, and you will be expected to establish trust and rapport with them.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: We require candidates with experience working with children or adults who display challenging behaviours, in either a residential or educational setting.

Additional Information:

  • Contract Type: This is a temporary contract, with potential for permanence.
  • Holiday Pay: Statutory holiday pay is included in the salary, amounting to 7% of the annual salary.
