Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team from January 2025.

As a Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning, providing individual and group support to enhance their educational progress.

About the Job

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students who may be struggling academically, socially, or emotionally.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and self-esteem in students, using a range of techniques and strategies.
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCO to identify students who need additional support and develop tailored learning plans.

Key Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
  2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  3. A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
