We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Preston. As a Key Stage 1 educator, you will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that drive attainment and promote teamwork in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, fostering a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum and focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths and improving weaknesses.
  • Developing maths ability, introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry through interactive lessons.
  • Helping children develop their writing skills by crafting compelling stories with plots, characters, and settings.
  • Tracking children's progress and reporting back to parents as needed.
