The Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology will be responsible for:

  1. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
  2. Providing comprehensive healthcare needs assessments and developing treatment plans.
  3. Offering psychological support to individuals and carers, identifying and involving appropriate multi-disciplinary services.
  4. Providing specialist care, knowledge, and expertise, empowering colleagues to disseminate knowledge and best practice.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a degree or masters qualification, teaching qualification, and certificate in counselling. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience at Band 5 in Haematology or Oncology, with advanced communication skills training and evidence of leading, teaching, and mentoring learners.

The successful candidate will be able to prescribe medicines in accordance with the non-medical prescribing policy and have a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
