About the Role

This is a permanent role. As a highly skilled Senior Buyer, you will oversee the entire buying lifecycle – from tender process to order placement.

You will be responsible for managing, negotiating with and monitoring suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products at cost and quality. Your focus on efficiency will drive down costs while upholding quality standards.

We are seeking a qualified professional with experience in Public Sector Buying and an understanding of Public Procurement Regulations and The Procurement Act. You should have expertise in using procurement systems and E-tendering portals like Bravo Solutions.

A CIPS qualification or equivalent degree is preferred. If not, extensive relevant experience will be considered. Strong prioritization skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, and excellent communication skills are essential.

The salary for this position is around £65,000 per annum, depending on your background and qualifications. We offer flexible working arrangements and strive for a great work-life balance.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of high-value products, materials or services.
  • Negotiating with suppliers at the highest levels.
  • Delivering procurement benefits including financial savings.
  • Maintaining procurement systems and keeping records up-to-date.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • MCIPS or equivalent degree qualification.
  • Experience in Public Sector Buying.
  • Proven track record in Public Sector procurement.
  • Expertise in procurement systems and E-tendering portals.
