About the Role



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Safety Specialist to join our team at the Department for Business and Trade.



As a Product Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for addressing non-compliance of product safety and standards to protect people and places from harm. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that businesses adhere to their legal obligations and to minimize the likelihood of recurrence.



You will have a strong background in regulation, enforcement, or compliance, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also have experience in conducting investigations and providing expert guidance to businesses and stakeholders.



The successful candidate will be able to contribute to a regulatory landscape that empowers businesses, safeguards consumers, and protects our planet. They will also be able to tackle complex challenges and enforce a wide range of product, environmental, and energy efficiency regulations across diverse industries and supply chains.
