Planning Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for providing expert planning advice and managing projects from start to finish.

You will be working on high-profile projects and will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in planning and project management.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries
- Conduct research and prepare planning appraisals to assess site potential
- Write high-quality reports with clear recommendations
- Lead client meetings and community engagement sessions
- Oversee projects, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with timelines and safety standards
Requirements:
- A degree or Master's in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited)
- At least two years of experience in a planning role, preferably within the public or private sector
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and legislation
