Support Worker for Young People

Job Summary: Fife Council is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential care and support to children and young people aged 4-18 with complex needs.
About the Role: As a Childcare Practitioner, you will work one-to-one with these amazing individuals, creating engaging activities tailored to their unique needs and interests.
Responsibilities:
- Create fun and engaging play and social activities that brighten each child's day
- Provide comprehensive care, including moving and handling, personal care, and medication administration
- Support the safe consumption of healthy snacks catering to dietary and nutritional needs
- Develop a program of social activities tailored to each child's individual needs and preferences
About You: We're looking for someone who is fun, engaging, adaptable, and passionate about working with children and young people. If you have experience in a play, care or learning setting and are willing to work towards an SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) qualification, we'd love to hear from you.

Additional Information: Prior to your appointment, you'll be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland. This role also requires SSSC registration, which you'll need to apply for within three months of starting.
