Job Title: Payroll Operations Manager

About Us:

Portfolio Payroll is a leading provider of payroll services, seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong experience in payroll processing from start to finish. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of pensions schemes and auto-enrolment, as well as advanced Excel skills and familiarity with all MS Office programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process multiple monthly payrolls for high-volume employees
  • Process starters, leavers, amendments, absences, overtime, statutory payments, and pensions
  • Deal with discrepancies and queries relating to payroll and resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • Support the monthly reporting process, producing weekly/monthly payroll journals, reconciliations, etc.
  • Be responsible for the running of the Company Pension Schemes
  • Raise monthly and ad-hoc payroll-related payments
  • Recover monthly adjustments and deductions
  • Process company cars/P11Ds and deal with associated queries
  • Complete all company and year-end payroll processes
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages
