Job Title: Prison Nurse

Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced and cleared Band 6 Prison Nurse in Staffordshire.

The successful candidate will work in a unique environment, delivering nurse-led services that are provided in the wider community, with a unique opportunity to support individuals throughout their time in prison.

The successful Prison Nurse will be required to offer support across the prison, including dealing with minor injury and illness, emergency care, health assessments, safe and legal use of appropriate medicines, and working collaboratively with the wider team while treating all patients as individuals and respecting their privacy and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a prison setting
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to provide comprehensive healthcare services
  • Conducting health assessments and developing care plans
  • Providing emergency care and managing minor injuries and illnesses
  • Ensuring the safe and legal use of appropriate medicines
Requirements:
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse currently registered with the NMC
  • Recent experience working within a prison
  • Current prison vetting and a clear transferable DBS
