Job Description
  • To provide high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team by diagnosing, assessing, planning, and implementing patient-specific programmes of care/interventions.
  • Conduct clinical triage of service users who access Mental Health Services during pregnancy and in the first year post-partum, signposting on to the most appropriate service which may include follow-up with the perinatal mental health service.
  • Ensure each assessment is conducted collaboratively in consultation/agreement with the service user and their carer, where available, and the assessment will be informed by the wider multidisciplinary team involved with the woman during the perinatal period, including midwifery and health visiting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • HCPC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • Experience working in mental health services, particularly with pregnant women and new mothers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
