Attenborough Surgery is seeking a highly organized and efficient medical receptionist to join their team. As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to the healthcare team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage patient flow and direct visitors to the correct areas of the practice.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process repeat prescription requests and manage patient records.
  • Coordinate appointments and home visits for practice patients.
  • Process non-NHS claim forms and private referral letters.
  • Collect fees for non-NHS services and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Update patient computer records and maintain confidentiality.
  • Communicate test results and investigation outcomes to patients.
  • File and maintain patient medical records in accordance with practice procedures.
  • Ensure the practice premises are secure and the alarm is set at the end of each day.
  • Receive and batch deliver specimens to the collection point.
