We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Development Manager to join our Technology Supplier Management (TSM) team at Royal Mail Group.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition to the base salary, you will also receive a competitive car allowance of £5,000.

About the Role

This is a critical role within our organization, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of multiple strategic and critical 3rd party contracts. You will work closely with senior leaders across Technology, Business, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to build, develop, and govern supplier relationships.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing strategic and critical supplier relationships, in line with best practice and in accordance with our supplier management policy.
  • Supporting and developing supplier management strategies for suppliers in scope, aligned with our technology sourcing strategy, to deliver tangible benefits and value.
  • Applying appropriate contractual and commercial management skills, tools, and techniques to ensure the effectiveness of supplier contracts, meeting and exceeding contractual obligations, delivering value, and minimizing risk.
  • Serving as an escalation point for supplier-related issues and owning dispute resolution.
  • Producing Exec Board-level supplier performance reporting, ensuring alignment and informing decision-making.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Full contract and commercial life-cycle contract and commercial management experience in Technology for large-scale (£10m+pa) and complex strategic critical supplier relationships and contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract structures and terms, ideally across one or more of the following technology categories: Application Development and Maintenance, Cloud and Hosting, Network, Telecoms, and Workplace, End User Compute, IT Service Desk, and Software.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and enforce contractual obligations while maintaining and growing a strong and value-adding relationship with suppliers.
  • A strong track record of driving tangible commercial benefits within the contract lifecycle.
  • Exec-level commercial and stakeholder management skills, with a consistent track record of building strong internal business and supplier relationships.
