Arboriculture Support Specialist

The Protocol National Limited is seeking an experienced Arboriculture Technician to support our practical teaching lessons and maintain our Arboriculture areas to a high standard.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our high-performing Arboriculture team within the Landbased & Equine department. As an Arboriculture Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Arboriculture practical teaching lessons, supporting students undertaking practical activities under the direction of teaching staff, ensuring Arboriculture areas are kept to a high standard, preparing materials for practical classes, and completing administrative procedures efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of Arboriculture practical teaching lessons, including planning and organization.
- Support students undertaking practical activities under the direction of teaching staff, providing guidance and feedback.
- Ensure Arboriculture areas are maintained to a high standard, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Prepare materials for practical classes, including equipment and resources.
- Complete administrative procedures efficiently, including statutory and internal returns, stock, and asset registers.
- A minimum Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Arboriculture and Forestry is required, along with relevant training and certifications.
- Training in Small Fell and Access to a Tree and Aerial Rescue is essential.
- First Aid at Work +F certification is also required.
- Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a Landbased or Equine setting.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to support and guide students in practical settings, promoting a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards in Arboriculture areas, adhering to industry best practices.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £22,308 per annum, based on the current market rates for Arboriculture Technicians in the Northamptonshire area.
