Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales and purchase ledger, credit control, and prepare financial reports.
  • Oversee the financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and practices.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, guiding them to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and goals.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability to manage and motivate a team.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
