About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon to join our team at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a leading NHS Foundation Trust, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality neurosurgical services to patients, including emergency and urgent care.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, and follow up patients with neurosurgery conditions.
- Perform on-call emergency and urgent neurosurgical work and participate in the neurotrauma service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
- Engage in teaching, mentoring, audit, and clinical research activities.
Person Specification
- GMC Registration
- Inclusion on Specialist Register for neurosurgery or, if in training, eligible for inclusion on the Register within 6 months
- FRCS or equivalent
