Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Professional to join our team as a Packaging Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering existing key accounts and new business in the UK region, with potential expansion to Ireland and beyond.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate leads for potential users of our packaging products.
  • Communicate and follow up with factories for prices, testing, and agreeing margins.
  • Drive the sales lead conversion process into prospects and potential customers.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the sales team to ensure continuous sales support.
  • Coordinate with product managers for customer visits when required.
  • Collect and process purchase orders, follow up with customer services for updates.
  • Visit customers frequently in person and maintain follow-up on potential customers.
  • Analyse data related to targeted products and recommend pricing strategies.
  • Set sales forecasts and annual budgets in coordination with senior sales managers.
  • Follow up on unmet sales forecasts in coordination with senior sales managers.
  • Draft a marketing expansion plan and achieve the plan by number of forecasted prospects.
  • Conduct competition studies, update, and analyse competitors' profiles and offerings.
  • Equip and assist the sales force with product knowledge and communication.
  • Seek new ideas and remain updated on latest trends, technologies, and processes.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English to business level (written and spoken).
  • Additional European languages such as French, Dutch, German, Spanish, or Italian - advantageous.
  • Experience in sales of flexible packaging products for the food and catering, industrial, agricultural, and hygiene sectors.
  • Self-driven, with self-initiative, and responsible for growing sales of packaging products in the region.
  • Team player, dynamic, flexible, and adaptable to changes.
  • Happy to travel in the UK and Ireland on a weekly basis (50% time).

What We Offer

Circa £50,000 plus bonus and car.
